Fluffy Donut

My sons like donut very much. Come to think of it, who doesn't like donut, right? Whenever I make donut, i will always make double batch to be frozen, so that we can fry them whenever the kids ask for it. 
This also one of my make ahead meals for my sons snacks and lunchbox.

I use recipe from the famous baker Chef Wan. Here is the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:
*2 tsp Yeast
*1/4 cup warm water
*1 tsp sugar 
3 cups Flour
4 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Milk powder
1 Egg
1/2 cup Water (approx)
2 Tbsp Butter


METHODS:

  1. Mix ingredients marked * and let rest for few minutes until the yeast mixture bubbly
  2. Put flour, sugar, salt and milk powder in a big bowl and mix well.
  3. Make a well in the middle and add in egg, water, yeast mixture and butter.
  4. Knead until the dough smooth and elastic.
  5. Let dough rest until double in size.
  6. Punch the dough to let the air come out and shape the dough into donut shape or any shapes you desire.
  7. Let the donut rise a bit for about 15-20 mins and then deep fry the donut.
  8. After donut cooled down, coat the donut with sugar or any frosting you like.
